A KidVentures graduate introduces herself professionally to KidVentures founder and Executive Director, Alice Horn.

Alice Horn has been an entrepreneur and designer since 1980. After graduating from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art she started her career with B.J. Keats, a Philadelphia-based apparel manufacturer and retailer. She soon became both the head women’s designer and merchandise manager.
Throughout her career, she bridged the art and design world with the business world. Upon the birth of her first son in 1987, she started a juvenile products company, Odada for Babies, manufacturing colorful, fun and visually stimulating baby bedding. After moving to the New York area, she founded a design and marketing consultancy with a list of national clients.
Ms. Horn also volunteered extensively with schools and children. One such volunteer engagement led her to a school-based enterprise in an inner-city school in Newark, New Jersey. Ms. Horn found this so compelling, that after moving to Miami, she approached an elementary school in South Miami, Florida, to propose a similar endeavor. The principal readily agreed; and KidVentures was launched.
Ms. Horn is a Certified Entrepreneurship Instructor. Prior to attending Tyler School of Art, she graduated from the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich, Switzerland, a school of applied art and design. She is married to Ray Princiotta, an entrepreneur and apparel manufacturer.
